Well, the first post here in nearly 2 years is not a good one.
Unfortunately, during the transfer of my Railworks Folder to a new Hard Drive, I have lost all of my 3rd party routes - this includes my unfinished projects such as IOW Network Upgrade V2, Castlehurst and the Aston Calne Light Railway.
I have searched for these both in my recycle bin and with a data recovery tool but to no avail.
As this is the case, I regretfully have to cancel the Castlehurst Branch. I am highly upset by having to take this decision, but as the largest of my scratchbuilt routes, I feel that the work to rebuild it from scratch would be too much for me, especially alongside the other projects.
Isle of Wight Network Upgrade V2 I believe can be restarted, as I have a backup of V1. Doing this will hopefully resolve the issue which stalled my progress on it before, so look out for updates on that.
The Aston Calne Light Railway, while fairly well progressed, was nowhere near ready for release. I hope to be able to restart this project soon, but naturally release will be a long way off as I have to restart it completely from scratch.
Moral of the story: Regularly back up your route projects, as if something happens, and they are lost in the main Railworks Folder, at least you have a recent version to be able to catch up to it from.

My fictional mainline diorama, 'Stenbury Loops', is now available! We're also working with another developer on an update to what is included with the Isle of Wight Railway Network 1972-1976 Route; more information on that coming soon! Work is also progressing with the Castlehurst Branch, as well as a couple of other projects.

Today sees the release of a pair of upgrade packs for older locos, these being 0-4-0ST W37 'Invincible' and both of the DTG 0-4-0 Saddletank Packs; these use the sounds from the recently released Wayside Works Peckett W4 0-4-0ST Pack to create a more accurate sounding loco, as well as increasing the top speed. It also sees the announcement of 'Stenbury Loops', a generic Mainline diorama set wherever you should like it to be set. It has a scenic area of around 2.5 miles, with 5-road storage areas for both the Up and Down Directions at each end. It also features Point Rodding, Signal Wires and Telegraph Wires as well as a multitude of other details and will be released very soon.

Version 2 of Isle of Wight Railway Network 1972-1976 is available now! It features upgraded roads using the old Kuju European Loco & Asset Pack roads, which yes are an upgrade to the original ones. It also features period vehicles, mainly from UKTrainSim (please check the Google Doc on the Downloads page for the File ID's), new metal cut-out speed signs, older style whistle boards which are also track-linked (meaning you get a symbol on the F3 & F4 HUDs as you approach and pass them), and fixes the previous slightly odd track geometry as you approach the first bridge out of Brading in the Down direction, as well as the track out of Ryde St John's Road Platform 3. Download NOW!!

All of our available projects have been moved over from being hosted on UKTrainSim to being hosted by me! I've also released 'Cross Country By Night', a scenario on the South Western Mainline in which you drive Cross Country's 221122 from Southampton to Bournemouth before returning to Northam Depot. Look out for more scenarios in the near future!

The new website is online! What does this mean for 71E Rail Simulation? Well, it will make it far easier for me to host and give news on any of my projects for 71E, as well as for you to download my projects and get the latest news on 71E!
I'm currently working on moving my current and ongoing projects away from being hosted on UKTrainSim to make it easier for me to upload them when I want and for you to download without having to wait in any queues! I'm aiming to have this done in the very near future, so look out for that! In the meantime, if you aren't aware of any of my add-ons for Train Simulator, please do consider giving them a look, and if you like them, download them!
